HEIDSIECK CHAMPAGNE GOLD

An outstanding Champagne from a top-quality House. Created from only the best parcels of grapes from Heidsieck's finest vineyards.

Tasting Notes : A strong and generous nose characterised by an aromatic richness and creamy, toasty notes.
Producer : Heidsieck Dry Monopole

The Pinot Noir in the blend imparted weight and depth; the Chardonnay provided freshness and acidity. The wine received an extended period of ageing with its lees imparting rich yeasty notes.

MOET & CHANDON CHAMPAGNE

Since 1743, Moët & Chandon has been a symbol of pleasure and splendour. The quality of its wines expresses the richness and diversity of its fabulous vineyard estate, the largest in Champagne, consisting predominantly of Premier and Grand Cru vineyards.
This variety had a golden colour with evenly dispersed bubbles; fruit and honeysuckle bouquet greets the nose. A complex Champagne with great depth and high concentration of candied fruit, ginger and vanilla. Firm, ample, and fresh fruitiness with notes of brioche on the finish.

  MUMM DE CREMANT

This renown Blanc de Blancs champagne is made in tiny quantities from 100% Chardonnay grapes grown in the Grand Cru village of Cramant. The antithesis of the House style, Mumm de Cremant was first created for the Directors of the House in 1882.
It was also hand_delivered in a plain bottle to key customers with a business card with one corner turned down. The current package reflects this heritage.
Fresh and elegant on the palate, Mumm de Cremant boasts flavours of crisp lime, lemon and grapefruit with 'bubbles that melt in the mouth'. The finish is lingering and graceful.

   POMMERY CUVE'E LOUISE

Madame Pommery created the first successfully marketed Brut Champagne ‘Pommery Nature 1874’, at a time when most Champagnes were excessively sweetened by sugar. This set the benchmark for the rest of Champagne and it is in this spirit that the style of Pommery endures, with each unique cuvée displaying elegance, finesse and true class.

The Cuvée Louise was created as a tribute to Madame Louise Pommery. This is a pure wine which reflects the wine-making expertise of the house. The 1995 is made from three great wine growing areas, the vineyards of Avize, Cramant and Ay.

Tasting note: The effervescence is subtle, with extremely fine bubbles and floral notes on the nose that are enhanced by hints of yellow fruits. There are also biscuit notes, which give this wine charm and distinction. The Chardonnay grape contributes spicy notes while the palate is full-bodied and slightly fatty – ensuring balance, honesty and elegance.

This is a wine characterised by length and grace, it can boast an extreme richness particular to 1995 – a generous year for hugely pleasurable drinking.

VEUVE CLICQUOT - Yellow Label

Veuve Clicquot the Champagne House is eventually judged on the quality of its Brut Non Vintage. It is in the making of such a wine that the true Art of Champagne blending reveals itself.

This is an art in which the House of Veuve Clicquot excels. Our Brut Yellow Label reflects the superb vineyards we own and the consistent nature of our House style. The predominance of Pinot Noir provides the structure that is so typically Clicquot, while a touch of Pinot Meunier rounds out the blend. Chardonnay adds the elegance and finesse essential in a perfectly balanced wine.

Grapes from as many as 50 to 60 different Crus go to the blending of Yellow Label. Traditionally, the proportion of each grape variety used is : 50 to 55% Pinot Noir - 15 to 20% Pinot Meunier - 28 to 33% Chardonnay.

These figures vary slightly from year to year according to conditions. The Chef de Caves has to achieve the total consistency of taste, which makes Yellow Label so immediately recognisable, so utterly reliable both in terms of quality, colour and bouquet.
